OR “THE NIGHT I MADE YOU DINNER”
First, let me make it clear that I am not comparing myself to Jesus nor can I perform miracles (although I did cook a whole Christmas brunch once – including a quiche – on a barbeque grill.) This is just a little inside joke we use at my house when there is nothing planned for dinner but we obviously have PLENTY of food. I announce, ”This is going to be a loaves and fishes dinner.”
We live in a small town. Our grocery stores are limited in variety and the choice of restaurants that are not fast food is slim. Many days I stare into the pantry like the Dinner Fairy is going to start handing me cans and there is a magic hologram of the beautiful, photo-worthy, healthy, nutritious and delicious meal I am going to make projected on the counter top. It hasn’t happened YET, but I remain hopeful.
Actually, throwing together a dinner with what you have at home is pretty easy. You have to consider your ingredients, your time frame and your level of skill. One of the most important things will be flavoring, the use of spices and sauces to elevate your dish to the best it can be.
This is my main spice cabinet. I have another one with oils, vinegars and sauces. And today, I AM GOING TO SHOW YOU HOW EASY IT IS! Complete the form, leave your 3 – 5 ingredients in the comments and I will send you an idea about what you can make! How fun! I am anxious to see the challenges!

This is such a fun challenge! All the recipes on my website have just six ingredients or fewer so I love creating miracles with simple ingredients. I actually looked in my pantry and fridge for inspiration for the challenge too! Can’t wait to hear your ideas 🙂
