FUN HALLOWEEN PARTY DRINKS
Table of Contents
Fun Halloween Party Drinks make every celebration memorable. Who can forget a set of vampire teeth waiting to chomp you – right on the rim of your glass!

Halloween has become one of the most anticipated holidays around. It is one where adults fondly remember their childhood Halloween days wandering the neighborhoods getting FREE CANDY!
Remember you figured out that you could walk around a get FREE CANDY? A whole sack full? And your parents already knew about it and they were cool?
AMAZING!
But times changed and some bad apples started doing horrible things to the candy and treats and just like that, trick-or-treating became dangerous.
Celebrating changed, especially for little goblins, and Halloween became more group-oriented and home-based. Competition is high for the best refreshments, most original costumes and activities that rock your Halloween party.
So now, what’s a better way to celebrate than special Halloween party drinks, fun food that looks like ghosts, witches and other semi-spooky party crafts and favors?
Halloween Party Drinks – Family Friendly
Some of these drinks can be cocktails OR non-alcoholic. Make sure to mark well if you decide to make some alcoholic and some not!
Witches Brew:
Any drink is transformed into Witches Brew, even those adult ones with alcohol.
Use any drink mix, add food coloring if desired, and at the last minute add small pieces of dry ice, 2″ – 3″, to fit in a drink glass. It will bubble and smoke, delighting all ages.
If a larger punch bowl is used instead of single-serving glasses, use larger pieces of ice that won’t dissolve as quickly.

Black Death
(Black Lemonade)
This is another easy drink to make that is fun – it is black!
Do you know about Activated Charcoal? I didn’t either, but I researched it and was surprised to find out that activated charcoal is a health supplement.

Halloween “Black Death” (Black Lemonade)
Ingredients
- One Lemon juiced
- One To Two Capsules Of Activated Charcoal
- Stevia Or Maple Syrup
- Ice
- Water
Instructions
- Juice the lemon and remove any stray seeds. Add the juice to a 16 ounce glass.
- Check the dosage on your activated charcoal before breaking open one to two capsules. Add them to the lemon juice and stir well to mix these two ingredients.
- Fill the glass with ice cubes and water, add sweetener as desired.
- Garnish with lemon wedge.

Glow-in-the-Dark Voodoo Shots
If these don’t push you over the finish line as “Hostest with the Mostest,” I don’t know what will. It’s a little science experiment (like most cooking…) – the black light makes quinine in the tonic water “glow.”
These would be great already prepared and displayed in a dark corner where you can easily fix your blacklight. You can use just a blacklight bulb in a small decor lamp without the shade, if necessary.

Glow-in-the-Dark Voodoo Shots
Ingredients
- 2 Cups Tonic Water
- 1 packet Blue Jello
- 1 packet Unflavored Gelatin
- 2 cups 8 oz./240ml Vodka
- Baking mold or individual plastic cups
- Blacklight

Halloween Haunted Highballs
This is a delicious drink made with several liqueurs – creme de cacao, hazelnut and white chocolate.
Also, if you don’t have enough, you can buy these glasses at the dollar store and you add the ghost decorations with a DRY ERASE marker so you can use them after the holiday as glasses, vases and other craft projects.

Haunted Highball
Equipment
- Black dry-erase marker for making the garnish
Ingredients
- 1 ounce vanilla vodka
- 1 ounce white chocolate liqueur
- 1 ounce white creme de cacao
- 1 ounce half-and-half
- Splash of hazelnut liqueur I like Frangelico.
Instructions
- Begin by drawing a ghost face on a highball glass with a dry-erase marker. Then, fill the glass with ice.
- In a separate glass, combine vodka, chocolate liqueur, white creme de cacao, half-and-half, and hazelnut liqueur. Stir to combine. Pour over prepared glass filled with ice.

Poisoned Apple Cocktail
This is another drink that makes use of fun containers. You should be able to find these at a large school supply store (think chemistry,) party store or maybe restaurant/bar supply. Since they are inexpensive to buy, you will be able to use them for other parties or crafts.

Poisoned Apple Cocktail

- 1 1/4 cup Stoli® Salted Caramel Vodka chilled
- 1/2 cup Pearl® Apple Pie Vodka chilled

Death in the Afternoon Cocktails
Nothing is fancier than a champagne flute on the bar – especially if filled with champagne! This recipe has a little twist – absinthe. Absinthe sure does have a scary reputation, but it is legal and quite safe. Still, after all the movies I have seen about little old Southern ladies serving cocktails in the afternoon, maybe you should take care….

Death in the Afternoon Halloween Cocktail
Ingredients
- 1/4 to 1/2 oz. absinthe
- 4 oz. chilled Champagne or other sparkling wine
Instructions
- Pour absinthe into a Champagne flute, and top with Champagne.
Good vs. Evil Cocktails

GOOD vs EVIL
Ingredients
- 1 oz. vodka
- 1 oz. ApplePucker
- 1 oz. Midori
- 1 oz. triple sec
- 1 handful ice
- pineapple juice
- Sierra Mist
- lemon slice for garnish
Instructions
- Combine vodka, ApplePucker, Midori, and Triple Sec in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake.
- Pour the mixture into a cocktail glass, then top with pineapple juice and Sierra Mist. Garnish with a slice of lemon (optional).
Vampire’s Kiss
Drinking from the decorated glass is almost as much fun as the party! Make sure you get superfine sugar for this – if you can’t find it in your area run a half-cup through your food processor (if you have a mini-sized one, even better!)

Vampire’s Kiss
Ingredients
- 1.5 ounces vodka
- 1.2 ounce orange liqueur
- 1 teaspoon superfine sugar
- .75 ounce freshly-squeeze lemon juice
- Red gel frosting for garnish
Instructions
- Begin by rimming a martini glass with red gel frosting. Add two drips down the glass to mimic a vampire’s favorite beverage.
- In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add the vodka, orange liqueur, sugar, and lemon juice. Shake vigorously and strain into the prepared martini glass.
The Black Raven
A coffee cocktail for grown-up Halloween parties.

The Black Raven Coffee Cocktail
Ingredients
- 2 oz Kahlua or other coffee liqueur
- 1 oz Cinnamon Whiskey or Pumpkin Spice Vodka
- 1 oz Vanilla Vodka
Instructions
- Simply fill a cocktail shaker with ice and pour the liqueurs overtop, one at a time. Cover and shake well.
