Caramel “Apple” Grapes are first skewered then dipped in melted caramel and finished in in a crunchy crust of finely chopped salted peanuts. It’s a simple, sweet and savory one-bite treat perfect for parties or potluck. These little grapes taste like a caramel apple in every bite.

Serves: makes approx. 50 – 70 grapes
INGREDIENTS
green grapes
toothpicks
1 bag caramels (Kraft, wrapped)
2 tablespoons heavy cream
1 cup salted peanuts or cashews, crushed finely
DIRECTIONS
Skewer grapes; set aside. Unwrap caramels.
Melt caramels in microwave as indicated on package or on medium low in a heavy pan. Stir in heavy cream as caramels start to melt. Keep candy mixture on the lowest setting.
Start a dipping station. Dip the grapes into the caramel sauce and then into the crushed nuts. Move to a plate to set. Repeat until all the grapes are used.
What a delightful single bite treat. It is the perfect finger good appetizer for a gathering. Delish!
